MERAKI FC AND THE SOCCER PARENTING ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP PROVIDING SUPPORT AND EDUCATION TO YOUTH SOCCER PARENTS VIA MYSOCCERPARENTING.COM
MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY – SEPTEMBER 5, 2017 - Meraki Futbol Club and the Soccer Parenting Association today announce a partnership agreement by which all families associated with Meraki Futbol Club will now receive free access to the educational content on the MySoccerParenting.com platform.
MySoccerParenting.com seeks to improve and enhance the experience for youth soccer players by engaging and supporting the players’ parents on topics related to the Body, Mind, Coach, Parent, Next Level and the Game. Meraki Futbol Club, founded on creating a positive and challenging environment where players are inspired to learn, develop and enjoy the beautiful game.
According to the National Alliance of Youth Sports and reported in the Aspen Institute “State of Play” report, 70% of youths stop participating in organized sports by the age of 13. While there are many reasons for this unfortunate trend, engaging parents in the game and providing them with education and guidance related to the youth soccer experience of their child is an important step towards reversing this trend.
“The investment Meraki Futbol Club is making towards positively affecting the lives of the players and families associated with their club is commendable. We are proud to work with Meraki Futbol Club and are encouraged by their commitment to make a positive impact in their community through sport,” said Skye Eddy Bruce, Founder of the Soccer Parenting Association.
“When everyone is moving forward together towards an ultimate goal success takes care of itself. And we look forward to working alongside passionate people who care about our kids and our sport in this country,” said Anthony Flores, Founder of Meraki Futbol Club.
